Thursday, September 23, 2010 - 7 PM - The Best American Poetry 2010 Launch Reading at the New School’s Tishman Auditorium in New York City

David Lehman, series editor of The Best American Poetry and poetry coordinator of the New School’s MFA program, joins with Amy Gerstler, guest editor of the 2010 volume, to present poets and poems from the 23rd edition of the acclaimed annual anthology. Among those taking part are John Ashbery (who will read James Schuyler’s poem in addition to his own), Sandra Beasley, Mark Bibbins, Elaine Equi, Thomas Sayers Ellis, Lynn Emanuel, Jill Alexander Essbaum, Kimiko Hahn, Jeffrey McDaniel, Eileen Myles, Gregory Pardlo, James Richardson, Gerald Stern, Terence Winch, and Matthew Yeager.
